The job simply requires you to destroy a specific build, step by step while taking screenshots for every steps. We will then reverse the screenshots, giving the effect that the build is being built. See the workflow & screenshot examples below.
With the super flat world, there are a few settings that are automatically changed in the world, which is necessary for optimal results with the screenshots. The time of day does not advance, no mobs or wandering villagers will spawn.
By default, the time is set to “/time set 8000” set it to “/time set 4000” to have the light on the right (opposite) side of the building. Make sure that the sun is always shining in front of you while taking the screenshots, except for the back of the builds.
Use the 8 minutes invisibility potion so we don’t see your shadow with the shaders.
Make sure to have your FOV is set to 30, so the blocks are not distorted.
While taking the screenshots, try having most of the background be the cyan_terracotta with the Fixed Terracotta texture pack, try not to show the sky or unloaded chunks.
Once you’re done taking the screenshots, go to the folder where they’re located, sort the images by date, then rename the files in the correct order with 1, 2, 3, 4, etc. The image name for the last screenshot should be “1”.
General Tips
- While destroying the builds, always start from top to bottom.
- For optimal lighting and visibility with the shaders, make sure that you remember a few things. When screenshotting the right of the build, enter in the chat, “/time set 4000“, and when screenshotting to the left, “/time set 8000“.
- Ideally, you would use Mirillis Action for the screenshots. They have an area selecting feature that is quite useful. It allows you to directly take 1:1 ratio screenshots.
