Build It Labs
The engineering side of Build It
Redstone machines, circuits, farms and contraptions, designed, tested and rebuilt until they work every single time.
How a Labs build is made
Designed with Claude
We use Claude, Anthropic's AI, as our circuit designer. It drafts the redstone logic: the wiring, the timing, the component layout.
Verified by humans
Every design is built and tested in the game. If a door half-opens or a clock drifts, it goes back to the drawing board. Nothing ships until it works.
Rebuilt for teaching
The working build becomes a full tutorial: step-by-step placement, layer views, and the 3D viewer where you can flip the levers yourself.
Why we work this way: redstone is hard. Great circuit design takes a kind of patience and precision that machines are genuinely good at, and AI lets us explore designs we could not have made alone. But Minecraft is a real game with real quirks, so a human always has the final word. If we would not build it in our own world, it does not go on the site.
Java and Bedrock: every Labs build is designed and tested in Minecraft Java Edition. Most should work on Bedrock too, but redstone behaves a little differently there, so some machines may need small tweaks.
Who is behind it
The Build It TeamBuilds, tests and verifies every Labs machine in game before it ships.
Every Labs build is tested before release. If one does not work in your version of Minecraft, report it in the comments on its page, we read everything.
